  • Any package exceeding 3KG (gross weight and volume weight (length (cm)* width (cm)* height (cm) /6000), whichever is larger) will not be shipped from the distribution center. Please ensure that the package weight does not exceed 3KG;
  • Packages with a side or multi-side size of more than 60 cm (L), 40 cm (W), 40 cm (H) will not be shipped from the sorting center. Please ensure that the package size does not exceed the corresponding value.
  • The seller shall take back the package that is overweight or its size does not conform to the platform rules **within 7 days **from the date of return notice, and the additional cost of return will be borne by the seller.
  • Jumia reserves the right to charge you a penalty if the ratio of gross weight to billed weight significantly deviates from the long-term average weight of the packages shipped by your shop. It is recommended that you pack your items as required to avoid overweighting (gross weight or volume weight).

Examples:

How to calculate the international freight of packages at the site in Nigeria under specific circumstances?

International freight=logistics unit price (USD/KG) * gross weight of package (KG)

Case 1: package with gross weight of 2KG, package size of 30*20*50 cm, and volume weight of 30*20*50 ÷ 6000=5KG

Because the volume weight is greater than 3KG, it does not meet the delivery conditions from the sorting center!

Case 2: package with gross weight of 2KG, package size of 15*20*50cm and volume weight of 15*20*50 ÷ 6000=2.5KG

It meets the delivery conditions

International freight = 14 USD/KG * 2 (KG)=28 USD
