Overseas warehouse (Fufillment by Jumia) is a logistic method that sellers ship goods in batch to Jumia’s overseas local warehouses, such local warehouses will provide warehousing and drop-shipping service, so as to realize local sales and fast last-mile delivery.

Notes: 
◆Jumia shall not serve as importer/consignee/notifying party, in such case, Jumia’s overseas warehouse shall have the right to reject delivery. 
◆After warehousing of products, Jumia will charge different warehousing fee and storage fee based on size of products (which will be mentioned later). 
◆ Application condition: 
1. The score of shop for direct mail shall reach 3.5 points or more 
2. The shop’s monthly total number of orders shall reach 200 orders or the monthly sales revenue shall reach 1,500USD 
3. The shop has signed shop opening contract with Jumia 
4. For any special category, there’s no need for the conditions above, please directly contact our overseas warehouse business team fbj@jumia.com
◆ Review: 
1. If you meet the conditions above, please email us, the reply will be made within 14 days. 
2. The staff would usually review on Fridays, please pay attention to your email box by then. 
3. Any vendor that doesn’t meet the conditions shall not apply repeatedly. If it’s found for multiple times that any vendor that doesn’t meet the conditions repeatedly applies, such email box will be rejected.

Notes: 
◆Number of SKU in 1 CO shall be < 50 units / Total number of products shall be < 5,000 units, for Nigeria, the total number of products for single CO application is suggested not to exceed 500 units, for other countries, the total number of products in single CO application shall not exceed 5K (different variables will also be deemed as different SKU: if a pair of shoes have 5 size variables, then there are 5 SKU) 
◆Please ensure the SKU of actual shipping to be consistent with that approved (including quantity, color, size, brand, etc.).


Ⅱ Prepare goods, packaging of goods and labelling:
1.Prepare goods
Goods quantity should be in accordance with the CO application result. Do not send more or less.

  • For the same CO, it’s forbidden to ship in different batches nor make warehouse appointment in different batches, otherwise it will face the risk of being rejected by the warehouse.
  • It’s forbidden to divide the same SKU in different boxes

Packaging of outer box:
1. Use solid outer box to prevent goods damage .
2. Stick label on outer box / prevent freight shortage caused from mixing of goods.
3. Print accurate packing list and put it in the box with number of “1/X”, so Jumia’s overseas warehouse can check the number of pieces and warehouse the goods in faster speed when receiving the goods.

Update status: 
After passing the review, there will be display of CO number, then the seller shall timely update shipping status.

Before seller’s CO is about to arrive at the port of destination country, please timely go to Seller Center to fill ETA information. 
ETA: estimated time to arrive at overseas warehouse 
For any CO about to arrive at port, the seller needs to upload ETA at Seller Center by integrating the actual circumstance of logistic transportation. ETA can effectively help JUMIA warehouse to predict freight space capacity, and enhance the warehousing timeliness of CO. 


Ⅵ Delivery to warehouse 
 1. Method 1—— Online reservation

From September 2022, Jumia rolled out an online tool for all Jumia sellers to book slots. Every single CO which item quantity applied is less than or equal to 500 items must  book the slot via Inbound Scheduler, please find [here] to read more details and instructions.


2.Method 2——  reservation by email

  •  A seller needs to contact logistics provider on its own to deliver to warehouse / before delivery to warehouse, the seller needs to send prediction email to the destination country. 
  • The listing quantity shall be in accordance with that actually and specifically received by the overseas warehouse, if there’s any difference, please contact the logistics provider. 
  • If there’s any unmatched items or product suspected of counterfeiting or infringing found at listing, it would affect the normal warehousing of product or failed warehousing.

Product Name: product name (named after category) 
Quantity (Packages & items): total number of boxes and total number of products 
Estimated delivery time: estimated delivery time to warehouse (estimated based on customs clearance time) 
License plate number: the license plate number of delivery vehicle 
Name of trucker: the name of delivery truck driver 
Tel No. of trucker/broker: the telephone number of delivery man or broker 

The appendix of packing list shall be attached here (as follows, the email shall be sent in form of attachment, don’t use image)

A seller shall confirm providing accurate packing list, otherwise it may cause Jumia warehouse uanble to timely receive goods and check, so as to affect the warehousing process.

Ⅶ Inbound and waiting to be listed online
How to check the successful listing of goods:

The final listing quantity can be seen in the numbers in Received, as shown in the following figure:

Ⅰ. FBJ Inbound Fee

The existing Inbound fees will not change and will still be applicable to all FBJ sellers:

Total Inbound Fee = Inbound Fee + VAT

 Inbound fee is based on size of products,which is uniform for each site

2. VAT:

VAT shall be charged according to national regulations and it is subject to change. Below are the current rates:

*Take an example as follows, inbound of one unit of small product in Nigeria overseas warehouse

Inbound Fee: $0.09
VAT: 0.09*7.5%=0.00675 dollar

Total Inbound Fee: 0.09+0.00675=0.09675 dollar


Ⅱ. Storage Fee

 From the time the product enters Jumia overseas warehouse, the storage fee is charged on a daily basis according to the size of the product. Current Storage Fees will still apply to all FBJ sellers.

Ⅲ. Outbound Fee

From June 1, 2022, JUMIA will begin to charge an FBJ Outbound Fee in all sites. This fee will apply to every FBJ item in delivered final status (not charged if the item is returned/delivery failed).

Currently, the applications for campaigns of overeas warehouse for vendors are mainly implemented through off-line connection by customer manager, and followed up in form of email notices. 
Sellers should timely file commonly used email to the vendor manager after joining, and timely check the application notices sent by email. 
Some campaigns may also be actively applied by sellers at back stage
