Notes to Order Operation


Dear sellers, in this lesson, you will learn about issues such as order type, 
parcel in excess, quality inspection, etc. 


I. Direct Mail Order

1. A seller needs to deliver the parcel of direct mail order to the sorting center of JUMIA in China, and it will be accepted for carriage by Jumia’s direct mail order cooeprative logistics provider
 SEKO 

2. Jumia will automatically help vendor select the designated warehouse, the designated 
warehouse for special direct mail line shall include the word “SEKO”. Vendor may use the back
 stage to confirm whether the setting of logistic warehouse is correct or not, if there's any error,
 please feedback through RAC (taking NG site as an example, the logistic warehouse to be 
opened is as follows) 

3. When the Shipment Method is Pickup Station/Universal Shipping Matrix, please select delivery of parcel to SEKO's Sorting Center

After the Seller Center receives a new order, the vendor shall successfully deliver goods to the warehouse designated by Jumia and have it successfully scanned (meaning jump to shipped) within 5 working days, otherwise the order will be canceled 

If it’s not completed on time, the system will cancel such order as Out of Stock, which would affect the shop’s score, or even lead to shop shutdown
1. If a single parcel at shipping weighs over 1.5KG, an overweight charge will be charged. The calculation of weight shall be true weight or volume weight (whichever higher between the two), Volume weight = Length × Width × Height (cm)/6,000
2. Parcel in excess at different sites are charged as follows:

3. To avoid generation of overweight charge, please note the following points: 
i. Reduce the listing of products higher than 1.5KG 
ii. Correct pricing of overweight products 
iii. If one order includes multiple products and it’s overweight, the order can be split into multiple parcels with weight < 1.5kg, then click “Ready to Ship”, generate different tracking codes before packing, so as to prevent interception by warehouse or overweight charge 
1. When a parcel is rejected by customer/fails to successfully deliver (Delivery failed) / Returned, in order to guarantee the seller’s goods, Jumia will return the products to overseas warehouse 
As sueccessfully inspected by the quality inspection department, it may be relisted for secondary sales. For quality inspection standard, please click the following 


2. Once successfully relisted, the stock of SKU will increase along with the quantity of listing accordingly, the specific quantity can be checked at Jumia Express Jumia Stock 

3. Products unable to sell again will be displayed at Jumia First Jumia Non-sellable 
1. In order to enhance buyer’s experience, Jumia will make random pre-sale inspection on parcels. Sellers must send correct goods strictly based on SKU 
descriptions

II. Parcel post (only open to the products less than 5USD)

Packaging and query

1. A seller needs to deliver parcel post to Jumia’s sorting center in China, which shall be 
accepted for carriage by Jumia’s parcel post cooperative logistics provider Clevy 

2. Currently the parcel post service is only open in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana (order amount less than 5USD), Morocco (order amount of 95 Dirham). 
3. There’s no need to sign contract nor pay security deposit for parcel post (All international 
shipping costs shall be paid from the platform to Clevy. The delivery period shall be 30-60 
working days 
4. Jumia will automatically help vendors select designated warehouse, the name of designated 
warehouse of parcel post shall incldue the word “Clevy”. Vendor may use the back stage to 
confirm whether the setting of logistic warehouse is correct or not, if there’s any error, please 
feedback through RAC (taking NG site as an example, the logistic warehouse to be opened is as
 follows) 

5. If the Shipment Method is shown as Economy Shipping, then it’s a parcel post, please successfully deliver the parcel to the sorting center of Clevy

1. When confirming Shipment Method as Economy Shipping, click “Ready to ship 

2. Select parcel post servie provider, recognize the inclusion of “Clevy” word 
*The warehouse that the parcel is shipped to must be consistent with the warehouse selected in the system, otherwise the warehouse will be unable to normally operate order, and the parcel will only have freight at destination or return to the seller (Clevy doesn’t do stock transfer business)

3. Print express sheet

If encountering any abnormal circumstance, contact Clevy email. If unsolved, one may submit the solution replied by Clevy and seller’s appeal to the the platform by Raise A Claim 

2. At delivery, parcels must be shipped to clevy’s warehouse. It’s forbidden to deliver goods to the driver of Yanwen who picks goods up, if losing parcel due to delivery to Yanwen’s pickup 
driver, the seller shall bear the loss on its own 

3. Jumia consolidated all the warehouses of Clevy to the New Shenzhen warehouse on May 17, 2021, if one needs to ship any parcel post, please do select the following New Shenzhen
 Warehouse

1. Mark “Clevylinks” on outer packing 
2. For large package, specify the number of inner packages on outer package (for example, if a 
sack contains 50 parcels, then mark “50pcs/pieces” on the sack) 
3. After the parcel arrives, the parcel on passage can be queried: https://clevylinks.com/
4. If the order still doesn’t change to “shipped” 2 working days after finding that the goods 
has arrived at Clevy, immediately contact Clevy's official email; 

If the status still doesn’t chagne and Clevy still doesn’t reply for 3 working days, 
immediately provide parcel express number and warehouse receipt form to Jumia platform to Raise A 
Claim
